This time, we will introduce some practical examples of IDU, which is a feature of IB schools.

First of all, what is IDU (Interdesciplinary Unit)?

It is interdisciplinary learning.

“Interdisciplinary learning” is a way of learning that aims to use knowledge acquired from two or more academic fields to integrate knowledge and various ways of thinking, and reach a new level of understanding that cannot be achieved from a single academic field.

The purpose of IDU is to acquire conceptual understanding through this interdisciplinary learning and be able to “transfer” the concepts acquired there to other things.
